![]() ![]() Especially that each app runs under its own user and as opposed to a regular "PC" app (I'm including here all regular desktop OSes) it can write only in certain places it would've been absolutely straightforward to just make some backup program similar with titanium backup with whatever storage (starting of course with their Google Drive). The problem is they are somehow between don't care and don't want users to have this thing, for whatever reason. Since someone here probably figured out the perfect solution for this anxiety, I end this post on this hopeful tone. I'm also somehow backing up stuff with Samsung Backup (last time I checked, anyway.) And then my media is being currently backed up to OneDrive where I have 1 TB (since I benefit from a OneDrive 365 family subscription, not my choice or need, but it's free for me, so.)Īnyway, I have the feeling that if my phone died or I lost it, I'd lose data from a lot of miscellaneous apps, probably my open tabs in the various browsers I use, and I'd spend hours getting things (somewhat) back to how they were before. ![]() Where would I even start? I know some things will go back to how they were because of my Google account. Even assuming I'd get an exact model for replacement, if the worst happened. I use Android and iPhone, and I know if I lose my iPhone or it dies, I can just restore it fully from the cloud.Īs for my Galaxy, I am always in a certain state of low-key anxiety about it. I did some googling, but thought that for the ultimate conclusion, I'd probably better ask the experts directly.
